Our UK manufactured household plastic supplies are all constructed with high-quality polypropylene. We use polypropylene as it’s a thermoplastic polymer that is incredibly durable and often much more durable than other storage basket alternatives.
Additionally, polypropylene has a lighter carbon footprint than other plastics, such as polyethylene and polycarbonate, takes much less time to degrade than other plastics and is recyclable (Comninos, 2021).
Strong, Durable and Easy to Maintain
Not only are our UK plastic storage baskets a durable option to store your items, they are considerably strong. Despite being lightweight to hold, polypropylene is extremely strong structurally.
The phenomenal strength of polypropylene means that our plastic storage baskets are able to hold a large quantity without the worry of the basket losing shape over time. Our large baskets can hold a capacity of 14.5L, our medium baskets can hold 4.5L, and our small baskets can hold 1.7L.
As well as this, polypropylene is very easy to clean and is difficult to stain. Light dirt on the baskets can be cleaned easily with a dampened cloth or sponge. Heavier dirt on the baskets can be cleaned using water and a gentle household or neutral cleaner.
